Corey Parson’s NFL Futures Picks
Corey Parson, @TheFantasyExec, shares his NFL Futures bets to place before the 2023/24 season begins!
There is still plenty of time to go before we get to late July and the start of NFL training camps. Now that the NFL draft is behind us, most teams’ rosters are set. This is a good time to start peaking around the NFL futures market to see if there is anything you would like to put an early wager on.

Maybe you have a scoop that can get you ahead of the odds. Bovada Sportsbook has plenty of NFL futures that bettors can wager on right now. Below is some of my early action:
Baltimore Ravens – To Win the AFC +1200
One of the biggest stories of the NFL offseason was the Lamar Jackson and Baltimore Ravens contract saga. That story climaxed right before the draft as Jackson and the Ravens agreed on a long term deal. Right now the Ravens are 12 to 1 to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl; the number is a steal if you ask me. Baltimore with a healthy Jakcson is just as good as any team in the AFC and can make a Super Bowl run. Remember that Lamar Jackson has a 45-16 record as a starter. These odds are too juicy not to have some Ravens action in your futures portfolio.
Green Bay Packers – To Win the NFC North +450
For the first time in what seems like forever, the Packers will have some uncertainty at the quarterback position. Insert Jodan Love, the 2020 first round draft pick from Utah State. With Love under center, many have lowered their expectations for the Packers. I don’t think that should be the case. The Packers expect Love to do well, and the NFC North is not that tough of a division. The Lions have the division highest regular season win total at 9.5, followed by the Vikings at 8.5 and the Bears and Packers at 7.5. The Vikings are due regression after last season and the Bears likely have the worst quarterback in the division. The Packers will be live to win the North.

Indianapolis Colts – To Win the AFC South +500
Colts first year head coach Shane Steichen is coming off a NFC Championship season in which he led the Philadelphia Eagles offense. Steichen’s offense was able to feature the athletic ability of quarterback Jalen Hurts as the league’s most dynamic weapon. When the Colts drafted dual threat QB Anthony Richardson with the fourth overall pick in the draft I had visions of Steichen working his magic with Richardson– an equally talented athlete. Not to mention the Colts power running game with Jonathan Taylor behind one of the league’s best O-lines. When the Colts were wasting time with older quarterbacks people thought they were contenders. They were not. This season with a new head coach and young signal caller don’t sleep on the Colts.
Carolina Panthers – To Win the NFC South +340
Many would consider the NFC South the worst division in football. The quarterbacks in the division are Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, Desmond Ridder and the top overall draft pick from this year’s draft–Byrce Young. I would not be surprised if the Panthers have the best quarterback in the division in Young. Carolina, who consistently picks at the top of the draft, has put together a decent roster particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Remember, this was a team that was a threat to win this division late in the season last year. None of these teams really stick out so there is no reason to write the Panthers off.
